December 5, 2022
As we enter the final month of 2022, I want to express deep gratitude
to our Grounded Black Women community for joining me in this
devotional community for another year.
Thank you for your prayers, for your engagement,
and for your words of affirmation as I continued to surrender
to God's call to honor this space.
As we did last year, in this last month, I want to call us all in to thoughtfully carve out time to set our intentions for the end of the year and to prayerfully reflect on 2022.
Consider the following guided reflections:
1. As I enter the final month of 2022, what, where, and who do I want to prioritize?
2. As I reflect on 2022…
What was it like? (e.g., What is my memory and narrative for my experiences? How did I feel at different moments throughout the year? What happened and what didn’t happen?)
How have I grown? (e.g. What changed about me and/or different aspects of me? How did my thoughts/perspective, emotions/feelings, behaviors/actions evolve? How did I grow in different areas of my life—spiritually, emotionally, relationally, financially, academic/career-wise, other?)
What have I learned that I want to carry with me into the next year? (e.g. What wisdom did the Holy Trinity provide me? What did various situations throughout the year teach me? What did I learn from others? How can what I learned and continue to learn help me in the future?)
